Founders

C.Live

C.Live is a DJ, music curator and co-founder of Good Find Records whose approach to music is shaped by a lifelong obsession with digging, discovery and the connections between sounds from different places and eras.

Based in New York, he has played everywhere from La Poisson Rouge, Public Records, Nightmoves and Ace Hotel to Brilliant Corners in London and Ripple in Tokyo. His sets move freely across genres and geographies, guided less by convention than by curiosity bringing unexpected records and familiar sounds together in new ways.

That same sensibility has informed his work as a music curator, creating playlists and musical identities for brands and spaces including Oscar De La Renta, Paul Smith and Hotel Godin (now Hotel10). He is currently serving as audio curator for The Victorian Atlanta.

Through Good Find Records, C.Live has spent the past several years uncovering, reissuing and championing overlooked recordings while collaborating with artists from around the world. The label has become an extension of his approach to collecting and DJing a place where obscure discoveries, contemporary music and global sounds can exist side by side.

He also shares his ongoing search for great music through HiFi Recluse, his TikTok channel dedicated to records, artists and the stories behind the sounds continuing the conversation between the music he discovers and the people he hopes to introduce it to.

Aki

Kyoto-born Aki came to New York with a deep-rooted love of music and quickly found her place within the city’s underground music community. A classically trained flutist and keyboardist, her musical foundation spans both formal training and a lifelong immersion in contemporary music. Before releasing music under her given name, she was known as AKA SUGA, cutting her teeth as the resident DJ at The Lesson, the legendary Thursday-night jam session at Arlene’s Grocery NYC.

Aki’s musical instincts have taken her well beyond the club. Her work has appeared in campaigns for Fila, Steve Madden and JD Sports, while her ear for music has led to audio curation for fashion brand Dyne and the exclusive Izakaya restaurant Saito in downtown NYC.

As a DJ, she has played extensively in New York and internationally, bringing an instinctive, genre-fluid approach to sets in London, Tokyo, Barcelona and Rio de Janeiro.

Her work with Good Find Records grew naturally from the same impulse to dig deeper, look beyond the obvious and give overlooked music another life. Through the label, Aki has helped uncover and reissue recordings from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s, alongside contemporary artists from across the globe.

Her latest release, Mine to Give, turns that sensibility inward. A soulful blend of funk, disco and R&B, the project draws on the sounds of 1980s Japan that shaped her early musical imagination. Described as “Post City Pop,” Mine to Give is both a personal reflection and a modern reinterpretation of the music that first made her fall in love with sound.
